However, she got an opportunity in a music TV program of popular Bhojpur channel Mahua. She represented Mau in the program and had attracted attention of viewers. Soni Sinha was in a relationship with a guy named Rahul Kumar who was also from Mau. They were planning to get married in future. However, the success of Soni ensured that there was less time for her to be spent with Rahul. She was still in love, but the professional demand was compelling her to get away from that relationship. Miffed with all this, Rahul attacked Soni when she had returned after shooting a Bol Bam video from Varanasi. Rahul tried to slit her throat, but couldn’t do that.
