Sapna Chaudhary is one of the most famous singers of Northern India. She is ruling the heart of music loving teenagers with her unique singing style. She started her career as a stage performer. She is still doing lots of stage programs, but has also become a sensation over the social media platforms and You Tube. Biography and Profile of Sapna Chaudhary

Sapna was born in Rohtak district of Haryana on 25th September, 1990. She belongs to a very humble family. Sapna was eldest among three children in the family. Her father died when she was still studying in a school. Her father was the only breadwinner of the family and hence his death created a sort of scarcity. Sapna took upon itself to run the family. She was already a famous singer of her school and hence decided to make it her career. First she joined an Orchestra group at the age of 12 years. Her melodious voice made that Orchestra famous in Rohtak and Hisar. Sapna understood the world of Internet and its power. She released a song ‘Solid Body’ on You Tube which became an instant hit. This song gave her recognition in Haryana, Delhi and Western UP. This song gave Sapna enough money to start her own musical group. She was in huge demand for stage performances in no time had become the costliest as well as most sought after performer in Haryana. She didn’t stop there, but continue to release songs on You Tube. Few of her songs became viral which gave Sapna even more recognition and praise. She later started to work for More Musical Company.



Controversy of Sapna Chaudhary

Sapna Chaudhary sang a ‘Ragini’ in Gurgaon on 17th February, 2016. In this song, she had made some casteist remarks against Dalits. A line of the song even termed Dalit as Bawla. This was not as such a humiliating comment, but politics took center stage. Cases under SC/ST Act were filed against her. An SIT was formed to investigate the matter. A girl was being humiliated publicly for something that was NOT casteist. 

Sapna also apologized and regretted singing that song. However, politicians didn’t stop. A Facebook page was started against her. Fed up with all these unnecessary controversy, Sapna decided to end her life. She committed suicide, but somehow survived.

The controversy is now over. It has given Sapna a new life. She is now a matured singer with even wider reach and huge fan following over social media. Dalit groups have also realized that what Sapna did was a genuine mistake which can happen with everyone.

By caste, Sapna Chaudhary is a Jat. It is because of this fact that dalits were angry against her. In recent years, there have been lots of cases of violence against Dalits by jat in Haryana.

Sapna Chaudhary is not married. She is only 27 years old and intended to marry only after 30 years. However, she is in a relationship. The name of her boyfriend is not available on the public forum.
