Prema Sridevi: Profile, Family, Age, Boyfriend and Husband



Prema Sridevi is one of the most respected television journalists of India. She is currently working as Editor, News and Special Projects with Republic English News Channel. She is a trusted ally of veteran Arnab Goswami who has a habit of giving tough investigative projects to her. She has always justified the trust shown on her. It is because of this fact that Arnab poached her from Times Now when he started Republic. Like Arnab, Prema was also with Times Now since its inception.

Prema was born and brought up in Thiruvanthpuram. She is a Nair by caste and her father’s name is Rajashekharan Nair. She has done post graduation in Mass Communication from Commits Institute, Bangalore. While doing PG, she did internship with Deccan Herald, The Times of India and NDTV. When Times Now started, Prema was among the first recruits. She got offer from Times Now when she was in the final year of PG. 

Prema did wonderful job with Times Now and was considered a strong point behind the stupendous success of this channel. She left Times Now when Arnab Goswami decided to put papers and start a new channel. 

Prema Sridevi stole the limelight during the initial days of Republic. She had explosive tapes which give hint of some conspiracy behind the death of Sunanda Pushkar. Arnab wanted to run those tapes when he was in Times Now. However, the management was not ready to go ahead with such explosive contents. Obviously, Arnab ensured that Prema retained those tapes for future use. 

It should be noted that Prema as a responsible citizen had shared all these tapes with the Delhi Police. However, neither UPA Government nor Modi led NDA Government showed courage to ask Delhi Police to probe the matter. It seems this endeavor of Prema may finally give justice to the departed soul of Sunanda Pushkar.

When it comes to personal life, Prema ensured that her privacy never gets breached. She doesn’t share anything about her personal life. In one of her social media profile, she has just indicated that she is still single. Apart from that, there is no relevant information.


Police Complaint against Prema Sridevi


Times Now has filed an FIR against Arnab Goswami and Prema Sridevi. The issue is tapes related to Lalu – Shahbuddin and that of Sunanda Pushkar tapes. Obviously, the duo had these tapes while working with Times Now. But, the point is about journalism ethics. If you consider these tapes to be out in the public interest, you have to do that at any cost. Times Now was not ready to run those tapes and hence they retained copy and ran on the new channel. There is absolutely nothing wrong here. The act of Times Now only shows its desperation and dwindling TRPs. The response of Arnab Goswami summarizes their frustration.



Prema Sridevi had given these tapes to Delhi Police. These tapes were available with Times Now. She didn’t keep it only with herself. In fact, she tried to help the investigating team. If nothing worked out, making tapes public through Republic was only option left for her.

    Ha ha ha ha ....... the profile has been created in May 2017 .....Just to ensure that you can create a euphoria following the launch of Republic TV. Had you been a great journalist you would have been retained by Time Now.

We are still in the initial days of Republic TV.....Seeing this blog post it is very much evident that Prema, Arnab and Republic TV raised the Sunanda Pushkar to steal the LIME LIGHT...................Such pathetic journalism. Self declared "Most Respected Journalist"..................LOL........

      Dont be so harsh on her. It requires guts these days to come out with so many 'exposes' via the media. Republic is doing very well by bringing to the fore-front the news which other MSM was hiding till date.

      Agree with Mr. Mehtab. You really need guts and immense courage to do this kind of job. They are in competition with Times Now and showing this kind of video could really jeopardize their lifves; God forbid me. Sometime you really do want to do and they are doing the same. Not retaining by channel does mean you are not loyal or diligent. they long stay with NDTV exemplify their dedication towards job
