Sruti Hariharan is an Indian actress who has made her presence felt in Kannada and Tamil film industries. She is a rising South Indian phenomena and has been getting lots of offers for films from prominent directors and production houses. 

Sruti is a versatile personality and a very intelligent girl. She is also multilingual and can fluently speak Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam, among many other dialects. By caste, she is a Tamil Iyer Brahmin. However, she was born and brought up in Bangalore and hence has a Kannada upbringing.

The misuse of social media is rampant in India. It has become a norm to publicly humiliate a celebrity. The Supreme Court of India had called Section 66A of IT Act, 2000 as ultra vires to the Constitution of India. However, it is high time when everyone should ponder over this. The case of Sruti Hariharan is an example. 

Someone has made a fake Facebook profile under the name of Sruti. That may not be as such a crime as fake profiles of other celebrities exist. Die hard followers usually do this and share information about the star. If it is done under the ambit of the prevailing law and only for sharing information, then that may be termed as right. But, few use this ‘independence’ to malign a celebrity. Some pictures of Sruti Hariharan was morphed and being shared over the social media. These images have become viral and people are sharing it through WhatsApp. 

Some images of porn stars have been taken and using photoshop software, the face of Sruti has been fixed on those images. It seems those images are actually of Sruti.
If you also find those images, the first thing you need to do is to immediately delete that. You can also report about the image to the Cyber Cell of Bangalore Police.

Remember, what is being termed as Sruti image is not true. And, if you further share that image through any medium, then you are breaking the law and can be booked. That is a very sensitive matter. There is no point of maligning the image of a hard working actress. 

Sruti has already filed a formal complaint to the Bangalore Police. The FIR under IT Act has been registered and hopefully culprits will be soon booked.
