Divya Iyer, IAS: Profile, Wiki, Husband and Boyfriend

Dr. Divya Iyer is one of the most respected IAS officers of Kerala. She is known for her innovative administrative skills which had even surprised senior IAS officers. As a matter of fact, she is a 2014 batch IAS officer belonging to Kerala cadre. Divya is, indeed, a versatile young lady. She is a qualified doctor, an artist, a classic dancer and a successful author. You will hardly find an IAS officer in this age with such a powerful persona. Needless to say, she is also a very good administrator and residents of Kottayam have seen her positive working style with her first posting as Assistant Collector of Kottayam.

Divya was born and brought up in Thiruvanthpuram. Her father – Mr. Sesha Iyer – was an employee of ISRO, one of the most respected space organizations of the world. Her mother – Mrs. Bhagavathy Ammal – is still working with State Bank of Travancore (SBT, now this associate bank is merged with the parent SBI).

Divya has one sister named Nithya who is working in Bangalore as a software engineer with a top software consulting MNC.

Divya has always been a very good school. She had become famous in Thiruvanthpuram during her school days for her extra curriculum activities. After schooling, she took admission in the prestigious medical college CMC, Vellore from where she did her MBBS. She has also won many accolades while doing MBBS. However, some incidents and interactions with poor patients led her to change her mind as long term career. She decided to become an IAS officer. She appeared in the Civil Services Exam in 2012 and secured 139th rank with Indian Revenue Service (IRS). She joined and went for training without losing hope. She again appeared after going for one year break and cracked the UPSC Civil Services with All India Rank of 48. Fortunately, she was able to get her home cadre with the rooster system.

Divya was also applauded by everyone, including the Election Commission of India, for her innovative way to motivate people to vote in the election. She sang a song and created an environment for election which resulted in higher percentage people came to the booth to cast their votes.

Divya again made news headline because of an interesting turn of events. Two time Congress MLA K. S. Sabrinathan has declared that he is going to marry Divya Iyer. He posted a photo of him with Divya in happy mood along with the reason why he and Divya thought that they are made for each other. 



Before this Facebook post there was no news about Divya seeing Sabrinathan. The couple had successfully concealed their relationship from the world.
