Abhishek Banerjee, TMC: Profile, Wife, Education and Net Asset

Abhishek Banerjee is a firebrand young politician of West Bengal. Currently, he is representing Diamond Harbour Constituency in the Lok Sabha. He is also the president of the youth wing of All India Trinamool Congress. He is also the nephew of Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee. It is said that Mamta Banerjee has already started to groom him as her successor. She doesn’t want to leave her party without any successor in case something like Jayalalitha happened with her.

Abhishek Banerjee is also quite a controversial figure in the West Bengal politics. His name is associated with many idiotic statements made against political rivals. That can be termed as immaturity as he is quite young and new to the world of politics. However, the allegation of amassing property disproportionate to his known source of income can lead him to trouble.



Profile of Abhishek Banerjee

Abhishek was born on 7th November, 1987 in Kolkata. His parents name is Amit and Lata Banerjee. He was always close to his aunty Mamta who used to keep him with her and always gave treatment like her own son. Abhishek started schooling from Nava Nalanda High School. Later, he shifted to the prestigious MP Birla Foundation High School. After schooling, he went o Delhi and took admission in Arindam Chaudhury’s IIPM. He has completed BBA and MBA from IIPM. It should be noted that this institute isn’t recognized by UGC or AICTE and hence the IIPM degree has no value in India.

After returning to Kolkata post MBA, Abhishek started his political career in 2012. He was given a prominent post in the Youth Wing of the party. He started to gain acceptance by all politicians of AITMC because of his relationship with Mamta Banerjee.

It should be noted that he had become an MP at the age of 26. He is among 16 under 30 MPs of Lok Sabha.

Recently, BJP has alleged that Abhishek Banerjee had bought a bungalow worth Rs. 100 Crores. However, the party is yet to give any authentic proof about this purchase. Abhishek Banerjee on his part is silent and has not responded to these allegations.

Abhishek Banerjee is a married guy. He got married to a Punjabi girl named Jasmit Ahuja or Ruchika in 2012. They fell for each other while doing MBA in Delhi. It should be noted that Mamta Banerjee had shunned five star culture for the first time during Abhishek marriage. Marriage ceremony and parties were organized in 5 star hotels in Delhi.
