Aparna Yadav is
a rare member of extended Mulayam Singh Yadav family who is respected for her
social activities, progressive political and social outlook and dare devil
attitude to call a spade a spade without fearing outcome.
Aparna fought last Assembly election from Lucknow Cant and lost by huge margin. In her political debut she couldn’t stand against the powerful Modi wave and respect for BJP candidate Rita Bahuguna Joshi. All prominent members of Mulayam Singh Yadav family had canvassed for her without any visible success. Irrespective of the political result, she remains a respected figure among majority of youngsters of Uttar Pradesh belonging to all sides of political spectrum.

She is now a BJP member. Akhilesh Yadav working on the advise of Dimple Yadav didn't give any respect and position to either Aparna or her husband Prateek. Consequently, she decided to call it a day.
Profile of Aparna Bisht Yadav
Aparna was born
and brought up in Lucknow. Her father, Mr. Arvind Singh Bisht, is a renowned
English print journalist and Editor of Times of India Lucknow. Aparna did her
schooling education from Loreto Convent, Lucknow. Her first meeting with
Prateek Yadav, the second son of Mulayam and Aparna husband, happened when she
was studying in Class 11th. She was a bright student and excelled in
not only educational, but also extra curriculum activities. She had become a
very good classical singer during her school days.
After completing
her graduation, Aparna went to the UK and took admission in the Manchester
University from where she did PG in Politics and International Relations.
Prateek was also doing MBA from Leeds University and they were seeing each
other in the UK.
Neither Arvind
Singh nor Mulayam Singh Yadav was ready for their marriage. However, they
managed to somehow convince Mulayam Singh Yadav with the help of Sadhna Gupta
and Arvind Singh with the help of Amar Singh.
Aparna and
Prateek got married in 2011. They have a daughter named Prathama.
Aparna Yadav is
also known for her social work. Her NGO ‘B – Aware’ is quite reputed for its
work in the area of Women’s empowerment and education. It also took interest in
animal welfare in some pockets of UP.
Caste of Aparna Yadav
After getting
married, Aparna may have used the surname of her husband – Yadav. But, she has
also not renounced her maiden surname. Her current full name is Aparna Bisht
Yadav.
By caste, Aparna
Yadav is a Thakur, Rajput. Her family is basically from Garhwal region of
Uttarakhand. That is why some have proclaimed that Aparna is the sister of Yogi
Adityanath (whose real name is Ajay Singh Bisht). As a matter of fact, they are
not related.
Aparna Yadav has
more than one occasion rejected the current idea of caste based reservation.
Even during the campaign of last Assembly Election, she rejected the idea and
suggested that reservation should be on the basis of financial status, and not
on the basis of caste. It shows her sentiment for her birth caste.
As far as age is
concerned, at this juncture the age of Aparna is 28 years. She got married when
she was only 21 years old.
