Amish Devgan: Profile, Wife, Salary and Wiki

Amish Devgan is called poor man’s  (or, sometimes Hindi walla’s) Arnab Goswami. That is because of the stark similarity he has as far as handling a news debate show. Amish is also fond of shouting out at any guests who don’t second his views. It is said that Amish simply imitated the style of Arnab Goswami. But, that is not true as Amish was hosting a prime time show at Zee Business even before the launch of Times Now (Arnab was not in the habit of yelling at debate shows while he was with NDTV 24 X7). Hence, it is possible that Arnab had copied the style of Amish rather than vice versa.

Amish Devgan has recently broken his 14 years long relationship with Zee Business and has now joined News India 18 as its Executive Director. He is also handling prime time debate show at this channel.




Profile of Amish Devgan

Amish Devgan was born and brought up in New Delhi. After completing a diploma in Mass Communication, he joined Hindustan Times as a desk reporter in 2002. One year later, he joined Zee Media as a business reporter. Zee started its exclusive business channel Zee Business in 2005 and Amish was sent there as a prime time anchor. He was the man behind the stupendous success of Zee Business, primarily in small town Hindi viewers. 

Amish rose to prominence at Zee Business and became its Editor-in-Chief. His prime time shows Zee Business Special had become quite popular. Of late, Amish got distracted from business news and used to host debate show on this program only on current political events. He was turning the business channel into a current event political channel. His popularity was also rising among general viewers and soon he became a target for many hindi news channels.

In 2016, IBN 7 contacted him and offered the post of Executive Director along with lump sum salary. He snatched the offer and joined the renovated news channel now named as News India 18. 

Amish Devgan is holding successful debate show at this channel named Aar Paar.
Needless to say, he is still yelling and shouting and being termed as ‘Gareebon ka Arnab Goswami’.
