Riti Pathak is a firebrand politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She represents Sidhi Constituency of Madhya Pradesh in the Lok Sabha. She defeated heavy weight Congress candidate in 2014 Lok Sabha Election with a margin of more than one lakh votes.

Riti is being regarded as the next generation BJP politician who may give new direction to the party in coming years.

Riti was born on 1st July, 1977 at Khatkari, Singauli. She has done her entire education from Rewa starting from P. K. School. She has also completed M. A. and L. L. B. from the prestigious A. P. S. University, Rewa.

Rit’s parents, Ramkaran Dev Pandey and Shyama Pandey, were known in the entire Sidhi-Rewa region for their struggle to keep the region away from social evils.
After completing education and settling down in life with her husband, she started to take keen interest in the politics and social work. Her in-laws had good connections with top notch BJP leaders of Madhya Pradesh. She used those connections and started to get prominence in the party. However, it was still a matter of surprise when she got ticket for Lok Sabha. Everyone was expecting local BJP heavyweight Kanti Singh to get the ticket. But, BJP thought it better to field a Brahmin candidate as the party was expecting major chunk of Rajput/Thakur votes going for Congress because of the influence of Arjun Singh family in the area. The caste arithmetic favored her and hence she was preferred over a rather popular leader Kanti Singh. Needless to say, she didn’t disappoint anyone and in the last three years she has created a deep penetration for the BJP in rural areas of Sidhi.

Riti Pathak is married to Rajnish Pathak. It should be noted that Rajnish has no intention to enter the politics. Actually, he is a successful business and running Pathak Telcom Company Pvt. Ltd. This company has some very big contracts from Mobile companies like Airtel, Idea, Vodafone and Aircel, among others. Apart from that, this company is also a leader in telecom turnkey solutions.

Riti married Rajnish on 14th June, 1997 when she was only 20 years old. She is quite beautiful which helped her to get married into a rich family.

Riti and Rajnish Pathak have one son, named Sankalp and one daughter, named Shroti.
